Decryption
Timeline series rebuilds a portrait of an inspiring character through a collection of multiple photos taken of this character over his life from early childhood to the latest. The selection of photos was intentionally made to highlight the contrasts one character can show through his lifetime
Decryption series gathers my daily research at all levels, and reflects my personal thoughts and representations arising from both my introspective path and interaction with the world. The artworks arise from the inspiration cycle but the intellectual input is strongly involved in the building process. These works result from street photos, videos and medias taken or collected in purpose as additional material and inspiration.
Suddenly
Suddenly series depicts an unexpected flood of overwhelming emotions resulting from a lived experience or a distraction in my thoughts. The figures are not expected, they come with the flood. Unlike the decryption series, there is no intentional process to describe a specific idea or concept.
However, same questions can arise and build bridges between the two approaches during the creative process. The mystery of the sudden impulse meets somewhere and unconsciously the intellectual bias, giving contrast and form to the brutality of the initial expression

L'approche "Suddenly" (soudaineté) dépeint un flot inattendu d'émotions bouleversantes résultant d'une expérience vécue ou d'une distraction dans mes pensées. Contrairement à l'approche par "Décryptage", il n'y a pas de processus intentionnel pour décrire une idée ou un concept spécifique.
Cependant, les mêmes questions peuvent être soulevées et créer le lien entre les deux approches au cours du processus de création. Le mystère de l'élan soudain rencontre quelque part et inconsciemment les biais intellectuels, créant du contraste et une dimension esthétique à la brutalité de l'expression initiale.
